Richard Jefferson

Richard Jefferson is a former NBA player and current sports analyst at ESPN. He played college basketball at the University of Arizona before becoming the 13th pick in the 2001 NBA Draft. In his first season with the New Jersey Nets (now known as the Brooklyn Nets), he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He went on to win an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. Richard was also a member of the United States national team who won a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Richard retired from playing NBA basketball in 2018 and became a basketball analyst for ESPN and an analyst and studio host for The YES Network, covering the Brooklyn Nets. At the same time, he continued to host and fulfill his responsibilities with Road Trippin’. 

Richard is an award-winning Executive Producer for the 2018 film The Sprinter. Jefferson has also earned an Emmy Nomination for Best Sports Coverage for his work with Nets Basketball.
